This is the first post, so a short note on what this is.
I write software, and these days I also manage a team that does. The same handful of problems keep showing up in different teams under different names, and I wanted somewhere to write them down properly instead of re-explaining them in Slack threads nobody can find a month later.
Expect a mix. Some posts will be technical, with code, about the kind of thing you run into when a Django codebase gets big and old. Others will be about how teams, roadmaps and customers behave, which is the other half of my job. The stories are anonymized, the lessons are not.
If you think I’m wrong about something, I’d like to hear it.
